Henriksen Foxtail Rope Skimmer
The Foxtail rope skimmer is capable of recovering large quantities of oil in both calm and rough sea. Heavy and light oils are collected from the water surface by the Foxtail rope skimmer's endless high-performance adhesion bands (mops). These fibrillated polypropylene bands collect (adhere) oil when moving through the water. The oil is squeezed out of the Foxtail rope skimmer inside the machine with special rollers.
Henriksen Foxtail Mini Rope Skimmer
The Foxtail Mini rope skimmer is capable of recovering oil in both calm and rough sea. Heavy and light oils are collected from the water surface by the Foxtail Mini rope skimmer's endless high-performance adhesion bands (mops). The Foxtail Mini requires no transport equipment - it is small enough to be moved by 1-2 people.
Expandi
Expandi is one of the pioneers of oil spill world, inventing and developing the self-inflatable oil boom early in the 1970s. Now more than 800,000m are in service around the world. Today, Expandi is a growing and developing organisation with production facilities and engineering capacities in Sweden and Spain and sales and service worldwide. Expandi provide a wide range of high quality oil spill response equipment. Together with our partners we offer innovative solutions within all significant areas of oil pollution control. Expandi continues to design and engineer new products to improve effectiveness and response to both large and small spill incidents.
Expandi Self-Inflatable Oil Boom
The Expandi self-inflatable oil boom is the most rapid, compact and easy-to-handle oil boom system available. It is always ready for immediate deployment. In packed condition it requires very little space. With no need for power pack, air compressor or other auxiliary equipment for effective deployment, this system guarantees reliable performance. Expandi is the most popular oil boom system in the world. With an oil spill or pollution problem at hand, the first few minutes following the accident are vital to secure rapid containment and control. That’s why the compact, lightweight Expandi self-inflatable oil boom has been proven the most effective. The short response time gives substantial money savings. By keeping spills from hitting the shore, one eliminates the excessive cost of inshore clean up.
The Expandi self-inflatable oil boom has outsold any other single oil boom type with more than 800,000 metres in service worldwide today. The boom is self-inflating and expands the moment it is released. The boom has internally bound pliable frames which are pre-sprung with stainless steel springs. A patch of thick urethane rubber is placed outside each frame corner for increased durability. The sections are divided into air-tight compartments, 1.5-2 m long or more depending on the model. Each air compartment contains airtight bladders - “air-traps” - for reserve buoyancy in case of damage. This makes the EXPANDI boom virtually unsinkable.

DESMI Helix Skimmer
DESMI has overcome the challenges presented of circular design by engineering a unique brush drive train and combing mechanisms. DESMI has recognised for some time that circular skimmers have considerable operational advantages over square or rectangular units – namely that the oil is able to flow freely onto the brushes from any angle, which is especially important with heavy and thick oils that do not flow well.
DESMI Alligator Skimmer
The Alligator is a versatile skimmer that has the ability to recover a wide range of oils not normally associated with oleophilic skimmers - from light to very viscous oil. The brush belt pulls the oil into the unit where it is elevated and recovered at the back of the skimmer with a unique double comb arrangement.
DESMI Ro-Boom Oil Containment Boom
The Ro-Boom oil containment boom is manufactured in heavy duty neoprene rubber. The unique construction ensures complete cross vulcanisation of the composite materials resulting in a finished product with high abrasion resistance, peel resistance and tensile strength. The Ro-Boom lies completely flat when deflated allowing easy cleaning, storage, recovery and maintenance. Individual air chambers provide high integrity - even if one air chamber is deflated the freeboard is maintained by adjacent air chambers.
DESMI Scantrawl
The Scantrawl is a unique system for the recovery of floating tar balls, fuel oils, oil contaminated debris, residual tar after oil burns and bitumen residues from Orimulsion spills. The Scantrawl is able to filter the water, trapping the heavy oils in a trawl net equipped with a heavy-duty cover tube.
